Patricia Clarkson is an author, illustrator of children’s fiction with over ten years of experience, in creative writing. Patricia is well known for her book titled ‘Pink And The Hair Thief’, self-published in Co. Leitrim in 2018, and her book reading engagements in the local libraries. She is also an IT Specialist and an avid volunteer in her community, contributing her support to raise awareness of different cultures in Leitrim. Patricia published her first book titled ‘Friends For Life! The Fight Against Mosquitoes’ in the UK in 2007. The book was later selected by a production company in Kenya, for a children’s TV series. Her Memoir excerpts are published, in 'The Words from the Planet', a booklet published by the Leitrim International Community Group, in Carrick. She also writes play scripts for theatre and school children. Patricia is a mother of six who encourages diversity through her writing! She was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in West Africa. She lived in the UK for 20 years and now lives with her family in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, Ireland.
